Remembrance and the Poppy Appeal 2014

William H Painter Funeral Directors took part in, and organised Remembrance events in and around the Birmingham & Solihull areas this year. Remembrance Sunday is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

For fundraising information and more details about William H Painter Funeral Directors involvement, please Contact Us or call into one of our branches.
WWI memorabilia has been given to William H Painter on loan by Mike Egan who has a travelling museum and is a collector. The bust form were loaned to us by a local shop fitting company. The displays have attracted attention from the local community so far with one man asking where some of the items had been obtained (he was given the gentleman’s business card.)

The Knowle Society kindly copied the names of local people from Knowle who served which are displayed in the window alongside the details of the first local man to be killed in action. The Knowle RBL also made a poppy display in a plant pot for William H Painter specifically.
Thank you to all those who came along and visited our window displays this year and showed your support for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
